KARA SF is not simply a coalition of restaurant owners for social connection. As immigrants, our members have poured their passion and hard work into achieving business success while creating warm, welcoming dining experiences that resonate deeply with our community. Yet, we have also felt the limitations of traditional restaurant operations and aspired to explore the endless possibilities of the food culture we love. This is why we have embarked on a new journey in the form of a nonprofit organization. Our goal is to bring a fresh wave of creativity to San Francisco's food culture and foster meaningful, special connections with more neighbors.

Our roots are in Korea, yet our vision is global. As a coalition of Korean business owners, we’re eager to share Korea’s food heritage—the festivals, communal feasts, and traditions that unite us with neighbors across generations. And as Korea’s vibrant popular culture inspires the world, we bring its creative pulse to American soil, igniting fresh connections, curiosity, and joy.
