KARA SF Holds Inaugural Labor Law Seminar for Members

Updated: Jan 7

July 12, 2024 San Francisco, CA – The Korean American Restaurant Association of San Francisco (KARA SF) recently held its first-ever labor law seminar on July 11 in San Francisco’s Japantown, led by labor law attorney Haewon Kim. The three-hour seminar, attended by over ten KARA SF members, provided critical insights into a range of labor-related topics, aiming to equip Korean American restaurant owners with essential legal knowledge.

Attorney Kim covered important subjects, including meal and rest breaks, employee termination, workers' compensation claims, civil litigation, and probationary periods, offering practical guidance on navigating these complex areas. KARA SF remains committed to supporting its members through resources and education that foster compliance and long-term success in the industry.

Based in Los Angeles, Attorney Kim will now serve as KARA SF’s labor law advisor. Through this role, he plans to assist Korean American employers by offering free initial labor law consultations and discounted legal services, reinforcing the association's mission to empower its members.
